The Beginning
When the pandemic hit and lockdowns were put in place, my wife Jenn and I found ourselves with a lot of extra time on our hands. We decided to use this time to explore our creativity and try something new. That's when we stumbled upon boudoir photography.
We started by taking boudoir photos of each other in our home, just for fun. We found that we loved the process of creating these intimate and sensual photographs, and we enjoyed the way they made us feel. We were both a little nervous at first, but as we continued to explore this new hobby, we found that we were becoming more and more comfortable in front of the camera.
As we started sharing our photographs with friends and family, we began receiving requests for boudoir shoots of their own. This is when we realized that we had something special and decided to turn our hobby into a business.
We started our business, Muse Boudoir, with the goal of creating a safe and inclusive space for individuals, couples, and more to feel great in the skin they are in. We want to empower people to feel beautiful and confident in their bodies and to capture memories of a special time in their lives.
As we continue to grow our business, we are working towards getting a studio. Currently we don't have a lingerie closet yet but we are working on it. While I work full time for an insurance company, Jenn works part time at BestBuy in the GeekSquad. But together we are working on our business with the hopes of making it our full time job so we can both leave our 9-5's.
We have been so grateful for the support we have received so far and we are excited to see where this journey takes us. We are passionate about what we do and we are committed to providing our clients with beautiful, intimate, and empowering photographs that they will treasure for a lifetime.
